Stray Dog Overpopulation in Karachi Poses Growing Threat to Public Safety

The rising number of stray dogs in Karachi is creating serious safety concerns for residents, especially women and children. In 2024, 18 people lost their lives, and over 70,000 were injured due to dog attacks. Jinnah Hospital reported more than 47,000 dog bite cases, with 11 deaths linked to the lack of available vaccines, making daily activities, like going to mosques and parks, increasingly dangerous.
