In the initial three months of the current fiscal year, overseas Pakistanis contributed more in remittances than the total amount allocated in the IMF’s three-year program.
During this period, overseas Pakistanis remitted $8.78 billion.
From July to September, the monthly average of workers’ remittances was $2.92 billion.
Pakistani expatriates in Saudi Arabia sent $2.15 billion over three months, while those in the United Arab Emirates contributed $1.70 billion during the same timeframe.
