Electricity Tariffs to Be Lowered in 30 Days, Confirms Finance Ministry

The federal government has provided assurances to the business community that electricity prices will be reduced within the next month.
As reported by the media, a delegation of traders led by APTMA Chairman Kamran Arshad held a meeting with Minister of State for Finance Ali Pervaiz Malik.
Following the meeting, Chairman Kamran Arshad addressed the media, highlighting that the textile industry is currently grappling with high electricity costs.
Former APTMA Chairman Asif Inam stated that the Minister of State for Finance has assured the delegation that electricity prices will be lowered within a month, as a result of negotiations with Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
