Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah emphasized that the provincial government is fully committed to addressing Karachi’s challenges. He stated that road repair efforts began immediately following the recent rains, with 1.5 billion rupees already allocated to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) for infrastructure maintenance. Furthermore, the Sindh government is investing 200 billion rupees in various development projects across the city.
The Chief Minister also underscored the rapid progress on key transportation initiatives, noting that the completion of the Red Line and Yellow Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) systems will significantly alleviate the city’s transport issues. Additionally, he confirmed that discussions with Chinese authorities, facilitated through the federal government, have been re-initiated to restore the Karachi Circular Railway. The Pakistan People’s Party is determined to deliver this project to Karachi’s residents in the near future.
