Lieutenant General Muhammad Asim Malik has been appointed as the new Director General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
According to media reports, he will officially assume his responsibilities on September 30.
Currently, he serves as the Adjutant General at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
Lieutenant General Malik has previously held key command positions, including the Infantry Division in Balochistan and the Infantry Brigade in Waziristan.
He is a distinguished graduate of both Fort Leavenworth and the Royal College of Defence Studies, where he was awarded the honorary sword for outstanding performance in his course.
