Government Shuts Down 5 IPPs, Negotiations Ongoing with 100 More on Profit Reductions

The government has resolved to shut down five Independent Power Producers (IPPs) as part of its energy sector reforms, while negotiations with approximately 100 other IPPs are still ongoing.
According to reports from Geo News, discussions with all IPPs have not yet been finalized, but many have demonstrated a flexible approach towards reducing their profit margins.
The exact extent of the profit reduction is still being calculated as part of the ongoing negotiations
