Karachi to Receive Water from K-IV Project by April 2027, Confirms Sindh Government

The Sindh government has projected that water supply to Karachi from the K-IV project will commence by April 2027.

For many years, Karachi has been grappling with an acute water shortage. The last significant project, K-III, was completed over 18 years ago, and currently, the city receives only half of its required water supply.

The Sindh government remains optimistic that the K-IV initiative will help alleviate this crisis by April 2027.

During a session of the Sindh Assembly, it was also revealed that restoration work on the Hub Canal is underway and is expected to be completed by next year.
