The government has decided to review agreements with 15 Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and terminate them.
According to Express News, the task force led by Energy Minister Owais Leghari has finalized the framework.
Agreements with 6 IPPs established in the 1990s will be terminated immediately, while agreements with the remaining 9 IPPs will be phased out gradually.
