Karachi Residents to Face a High-Voltage Shock
Preparations are underway to give Karachi residents a high-voltage shock. The price of electricity is expected to increase by Rs. 5.45 per unit. K-Electric has submitted a request to NEPRA for fuel price adjustment for May and June.
During the NEPRA hearing, Jamaat-e-Islami opposed the increase and also demanded the resignation of the NEPRA Chairman. No representative from any other political party attended the meeting.
