Extension of School Holidays Due to Delay in Textbook Publication

An additional 14 days have been added to the school holidays in Sindh.
The extension is officially attributed to the prevailing weather conditions.
However, according to a report published in the daily newspaper Jang, the real reason for the extension is the delay in the publication of textbooks.
The report reveals that the publication of textbooks has become a significant issue in Sindh, with the education department being completely helpless in this regard.
The budget for textbooks has increased from 2 billion rupees to 6 billion rupees.
