Electricity Prices Surge by PKR 25.76 per Unit in Two Years, Imposing Over PKR 2 Trillion Burden on Consumers

In the past two years, the base electricity tariff has seen a historic increase of PKR 22.53 per unit. Additionally, a permanent surcharge of PKR 3.23 per unit has been imposed, leading to a total increase of PKR 25.76 per unit. This has resulted in an additional burden of over PKR 2 trillion on consumers.
