Heavy Tax Burden on Salaried Class – Munim Zafar Khan Slams Government for 470% Tax Increase on Salaried Class Over Six Years

The salaried class paid 76 billion in taxes in 2018 and 360 billion in 2024, showing a 470% increase in 6 years.
Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Munim Zafar Khan, criticized the government for the increasing tax burden on the salaried class.
He pointed out that this is not aristocracy but thuggery.
The salaried class paid 76 billion in taxes in 2018 and 360 billion in 2024, a staggering 470% increase in 6 years. On the other hand, landlords paid only 5 billion rupees in taxes.
He said that the elite are crushing the aspirations of the salaried class, which plays a crucial role in the country’s development.
