PTI’s Omar Ayub Accuses PML-N of Trapping Country in IPP Agreements

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub has stated that the PML-N (Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz) has trapped the country in the clutches of IPPs (Independent Power Producers).
Omar Ayub has accused that the PML-N made expensive capacity charges agreements themselves. Why are the caretaker ministers now shedding crocodile tears?
He claimed that during their tenure, they revisited agreements with IPPs and fixed the dollar rate at 175 rupees, saving billions of dollars.
In response, PML-N’s Musadik Malik held a press conference and said that Omar Ayub, who is criticizing the IPP agreements, signed those agreements while being part of the PML-N cabinet. If the agreements were wrong at that time, Omar Ayub should have resigned from his ministry and not signed them.
