Amir ul-Azim, the General Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has stated that the protest will happen at all costs. He mentioned that the police have conducted raids at around 200 locations. Preparations are underway to close the motorway.
Amir ul-Azim emphasized that the issues with IPPs (Independent Power Producers) that were highlighted two years ago are now proving to be true. He clarified that they are not protesting to topple the government but to seek relief for the public from high electricity bills.
He assured that their efforts are focused on keeping the protest peaceful.
