Karachi Restaurants Allowed to Charge 15% Service Tax: Sindh Revenue Board

Additional Burden: Karachi’s 58 Restaurants Allowed to Charge 15% Service Tax from the Public, Sindh Revenue Board
Diners in Restaurants and Hotels, Be Aware: Higher Taxes Will Be Deducted Now
The facility of lower tax on restaurant meals paid via debit and credit cards has been withdrawn.
Geo News, citing officials from the Sindh Revenue Board, reported that Karachi’s 58 restaurants have been allowed to charge a 15% service tax from the public.
In the Sindh budget, the tax on card payments was reduced from 15% to 8%.
