Gujranwala: In a tragic incident, a man’s house was set on fire by his former wife following his second marriage, which occurred three years after their divorce, as reported by Geo News on Sunday night.

During the incident, the ex-husband’s brother sustained injuries from the fire, while the property, including the newlyweds’ room, was damaged, according to local authorities. The police identified the man as Adnan, who had divorced his ex-wife, Saleha, three years prior due to ongoing disputes.

The incident took place on the night of the couple’s walima ceremony, just after their wedding. Saleha, along with her sister and brother-in-law, allegedly set the house ablaze while Adnan was attending his wedding festivities. The trio reportedly gained access to the home via the roof. The incident occurred in the Mohalla Islamabad area of Model Town.

Adnan and Saleha had been married for 10 years and initially lived adjacent to Adnan’s parents. After their divorce, Adnan moved back to his family’s residence. The police have launched a formal investigation into the matter.

The story is a developing one, with further details expected to emerge as the investigation proceeds.
