Currently, the economic situation has improved significantly compared to one year ago, characterized by a marked decrease in the inflation rate, an increase in exports and remittances, and a positive development with the conclusion of an agreement with the IMF.
Former Finance Minister Asad Umar remarked that when comparing the current economic landscape to that of a year ago, clear improvements are evident. There has been a substantial decline in inflation, alongside growth in both exports and remittances.
Umar also highlighted improvements in IT exports and foreign exchange reserves. He made these comments during an interview with Meher Bukhari on Dunya News.
He noted the presence of several positive indicators in the economy.
Furthermore, the former federal minister emphasized that the recent IMF agreement is a favorable outcome, as there was no viable alternative to this agreement.
