From Opposition to Allies? PTI and Maulana Fazlur Rehman Strengthen Ties in Key Meeting

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) hosted a luncheon in honor of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI).

The event, organized by Asad Qaiser, took place at his residence, where former president Arif Alvi and other senior PTI leaders were present ahead of Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s arrival.

During the meeting, discussions are expected to focus on reviewing progress related to constitutional amendments.

Historically, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and PTI have been strong political adversaries, but recent developments indicate a growing rapprochement between the two.

PTI has also acknowledged Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s role in preventing the government from passing a key constitutional amendment.
