Sindh Government Approves Rs 1.5 Billion for Urgent Karachi Road Repairs After Devastating Rains

The Sindh government has sanctioned Rs 1.5 billion for the restoration of Karachi’s roads.
Following the recent heavy rains, the condition of the city’s roads has deteriorated significantly, raising concerns about their quality and causing considerable inconvenience to residents.
In response, the Sindh government has approved the allocation of Rs 1.5 billion to repair the damaged infrastructure.
During a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister of Sindh, Mayor of Karachi Murtaza Wahab and Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani were in attendance. It was agreed that road rehabilitation is required across the city’s seven districts.
The Chief Minister further instructed the KMC to ensure that newly constructed roads are equipped with adequate drainage systems to prevent future damage.
