In Sindh, the authority to declare school holidays during rains has been given to Deputy Commissioners. Decisions regarding school closures in case of monsoon rains or potential emergencies will be made by the district administration. The Sindh Education Department has sent a letter to Deputy Commissioners regarding the necessary measures for the monsoon rains and potential flooding. Deputy Commissioners in all districts are advised to stay in contact with the district education office during rain and flood situations. They can make decisions on school closures after consulting with the district education office.
