Jamaat-e-Islami has demanded a reduction in income tax rates for the salaried class, highlighting that Rs391 billion has already been collected from them in the first nine months of the fiscal year. JI Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman pointed out that feudal lords across provinces have contributed only Rs4–5 billion in taxes.
