Built at a cost of PKR 50 billion, the airport spans 4,300 acres with a 3,658-meter runway capable of handling large aircraft like Airbus A380 and Boeing 747. The Pakistan Airports Authority has dismissed rumors of delays, confirming operations are proceeding as scheduled. The inaugural flight from Karachi to Gwadar, PIA PK-503, will now depart at 10:00 AM after a brief delay and will be greeted with a water cannon salute upon arrival. A high-profile ceremony featuring senior officials from Pakistan and China will mark the occasion.
