Jamaat-e-Islami Announces Nationwide Protest on January 17th Over Rising Electricity Prices

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, led by Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, has announced a nationwide protest on January 17th, demanding a reduction in electricity prices. He criticized all political parties for supporting Independent Power Producers (IPPs) since 1994, highlighting that the public is burdened with paying for electricity that isn’t even produced. The protest aims to address the ongoing issues and unfair financial strain on the people.
