Pakistani Mangoes Worth $10 Land in Dubai, Sold at $120 After Repackaging: UAE Consul General Highlights Value Addition Potential

UAE Consul General Bakheet Ateeq Al-Rumaiti highlighted the exceptional quality of Pakistan’s mango crop and noted the significant potential for enhancing its value and market reach through value addition. He shared that Pakistani mangoes, which initially enter Dubai at $10, can reach a retail price of $120 after repackaging, reflecting their high demand and premium market potential in the UAE.

He underscored the importance of value addition in Pakistan’s agricultural sector, emphasizing that this initiative requires a collective effort, not just from the government but from all stakeholders. Al-Rumaiti also remarked that when Pakistanis visit Dubai, they frequently request Pakistani mangoes as gifts for their families, showcasing their cultural and sentimental value
