M6 Motorway to Connect Karachi and Sukkur via Hyderabad; Chief Minister and Federal Minister Discuss Development through Public-Private or Federal-Provincial Consortium

The M6 Motorway will be developed from Karachi to Sukkur via Hyderabad, rather than solely from Hyderabad to Sukkur, according to the Chief Minister of Sindh. The federal and Sindh governments have reached an agreement to construct the Karachi-Sukkur M6 Motorway through a public-private partnership.

During a meeting at the Chief Minister’s House between Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Federal Minister for Communications Aleem Khan, it was agreed that the M6 Motorway will connect Karachi to Sukkur via Hyderabad. The two officials also explored the potential of executing the project through either a public-private partnership or a federal-provincial consortium.
