Epidemic Outbreaks Surge in Karachi as Garbage Piles Up; Mayor Criticized for Neglecting Duties

The city is facing a surge in epidemic outbreaks, while the Mayor seems to have found comfort in Islamabad, neglecting his duties. Why hasn’t the necessary fumigation been carried out? – Saifuddin Advocate
Leader of the Opposition in the City Council, Saifuddin Advocate, delivered sharp criticism of Karachi’s Mayor and also targeted Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani.
Saifuddin Advocate pointed out that garbage is piling up across the city, leading to the spread of diseases. Cases of malaria, chikungunya, and dengue are on the rise, and he holds the narrow-minded Local Government Minister and the absentee Mayor responsible.
He further remarked that the absentee Mayor appears more comfortable in Islamabad than addressing Karachi’s pressing issues. Both the Local Government Minister and the Mayor lack a clear vision for the city. The drains remain clogged with filth, and even basic fumigation efforts have not been undertaken.
