According to Express News, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Pakistan People’s Party successfully persuaded MQM, leading to the removal of these local government-related amendments from the draft.
It has been mutually agreed to incorporate MQM’s proposed constitutional changes in the upcoming 27th amendment.
The Muttahida Qaumi Movement has formally endorsed the government’s revised suggestions.
