Karachi’s Failing Infrastructure and Air Pollution Trigger Alarming Spike in Child Respiratory Diseases

Air pollution in Karachi is contributing to a significant rise in respiratory illnesses.
According to a report by Geo News, quoting the President of the Pediatric Association, government hospitals are now seeing 80 to 90 children daily suffering from respiratory conditions.
In recent days, the number of cases has doubled compared to previous months.
Additionally, the deteriorating condition of the city’s roads, where dust and particulate matter are constantly present, is further exacerbating the problem.
