Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh’s most prominent cricket star, has officially announced his retirement from Test and T20 International formats.
He has decided to step away from both formats of the game.
Shakib indicated that if the Bangladesh Cricket Board does not permit him to play a farewell Test match in Bangladesh, the upcoming Test against India will mark the conclusion of his illustrious Test career.
The 37-year-old cricketer has amassed 4,600 runs and taken 242 wickets in 70 Test matches.
Additionally, he has represented Bangladesh in 129 T20 International matches.
