Schools Restrict Smartphone Use to Protect Mental Health and Boost Learning in California

California Schools Implement Smartphone Restrictions to Address Mental Health Concerns
California has enacted legislation restricting or banning the use of smartphones in schools.
This decision stems from growing evidence that excessive mobile phone use negatively impacts mental health and hinders learning capabilities.
Experts suggest that spending more than three hours daily on social media significantly increases the risk of developing depressive symptoms.
Similar measures have already been adopted in thirteen other U.S. states.
