Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami, has asserted that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has engaged in widespread corruption in Sindh over the past 16 years, extending from Kashmore to Karachi.
What began as a 10 percent issue has now escalated to an alarming 70 percent. It raises concerns about how a contractor can effectively operate when burdened with a 30 percent payment. The state of the roads and cities in Sindh suggests that the local population is still facing conditions reminiscent of the Stone Age.
Furthermore, he stated that the PPP has been involved in various conspiracies, ranging from regime change to efforts to control the judiciary through constitutional amendments. The current government, he argued, has come into power by undermining the people’s mandate.
