Karachi-Hyderabad Superhighway cannot be called a motorway: Sindh High Court
The Sindh High Court has asked the Chairman of the National Highway Authority (NHA) to submit the feasibility report for the Karachi to Hyderabad motorway within three months.
In its remarks, the court stated that the Superhighway cannot be referred to as a motorway.
Karachi is a port city that contributes a significant portion of the country’s tax revenue, and the Superhighway is the only road that connects Karachi to Hyderabad.
The construction of a motorway here is just as necessary as in other parts of the country.
A total of 72 constitutional petitions have been filed regarding the Karachi to Hyderabad motorway.
