According to the Daily Jang, the Chief Minister of Sindh has submitted a relief plan for domestic consumers to Federal Energy Minister Owais Leghari. The plan recommends providing relief to consumers who use up to 500 units of electricity.
The Chief Minister of Sindh has also proposed eliminating peak hour charges and various slabs. Murad Ali Shah stated that if electricity becomes cheaper, demand will increase, and the excess electricity will be utilized.
The Chief Minister further suggested that targeted subsidies be provided through the Benazir Income Support Program to low-income consumers who use between 300 to 500 units of electricity.
