Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, the Ameer (leader) of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has said that the federal system runs on Karachi’s taxes. He mentioned that Karachi’s share in the provincial budget is more than ninety percent. He emphasized that electricity prices should be reduced across the entire country. He also announced that there will be a nationwide strike on August 28th against expensive electricity and heavy taxes.
