BYD, a leading Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, has announced plans to set up a factory near Port Qasim in Karachi in collaboration with a local partner. The company aims to launch three of its models in Pakistan, the world’s fifth-largest country by population. The plant is expected to be operational by the first half of 2026.
