July Car Sales Drop by 36%, Despite Annual Surge of 60%

In July, car sales decreased by 36%. A total of 8,589 units were sold during the month of July this year.
This represents a 60% increase on an annual basis, but a 36% decrease on a monthly basis.
According to Dawn, the decline in car sales is being attributed to the increase in the withholding tax rate imposed in the budget for the fiscal year 2025.
In June, car sales had reached an 18-month high.
