8 Types of Taxes! Electricity Consumers are Paying 9 Rupees per Unit in Taxes
A major reason for the high electricity bills is the indirect taxes as well.
According to a report published in Daily Jang, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collects annual revenues of 950 billion rupees through taxes on electricity bills.
There are eight types of taxes imposed on electricity bills, under which electricity consumers are paying taxes at the rate of 9 rupees per unit.
