Chief Minister Directs Water Board to Develop Urban Flood Prevention Plan

Water Board to Formulate Plan to Prevent Urban Flooding, Chief Minister Drainage System in Karachi’s Old Areas Must Be Fixed
Presiding over a meeting, the Chief Minister of Sindh stated that the drainage system in Karachi’s old areas must be fixed.
He said that the Water Board should conduct a study and present a proposal within six months.
The Water Board system is not designed for the drainage of rainwater.
A plan for drainage, such as a tunnel or underground system, should be proposed.
