Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Condemns PTI Ban, Calls Decision Undemocratic

Karachi, July 18, 2024 – Monem Zafar Khan, head of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, has denounced the decision to ban Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as condemnable and undemocratic. Khan expressed surprise that actions historically associated with dictators are now being executed by political parties through mutual consultation. He emphasized that in a democracy, the public’s opinion holds paramount importance over such bans. Khan urged the PDM government to prioritize national stability and avoid decisions that could lead to further instability.
