Mufti Tariq Masood, in his address, stated that Saheel Adeem made a mistake and should apologize. If he had apologized, the matter would have ended in two minutes. It is contrary to the facts on the ground to say that women are illiterate. Nowadays, girls score higher than boys in worldly knowledge. Boys often waste time on trivial activities, while in religious knowledge, even in Wafaq ul Madaris, the number of girls exceeds that of boys. If women are considered illiterate, then men are also illiterate. It would be more appropriate to use the term “uneducated” instead of “illiterate.”
